Position Overview:
John Henry's is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented, and passionate Line Cook to join our back-of-house team. The ideal candidate takes pride in preparing delicious food, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and is eager to continually grow their culinary skills. This role is crucial in ensuring our guests receive meals that are cooked to perfection and beautifully presented, every time.
Key Responsibilities:
Prep and cook a variety of meats, seafood, and sides according to food safety standards.
Learn and master the fryer station, flat top, and grill.
Cook items such as steaks, brisket, fish, pork belly, shrimp, and more to specification.
Assemble and plate dishes with care and attention to presentation.
Maintain proper labeling and storage of all prepped food.
Prioritize food quality above all else.
Call out food orders clearly and efficiently as they come in.
Work cooperatively and respectfully with kitchen managers, servers, dishwashers, and fellow cooks.
Address any guest concerns or food-related issues professionally and promptly.
Set the next shift up for success by thoroughly prepping meats, sides, and sauces.
Keep a clean and organized station and contribute to overall kitchen cleanliness.

Position Overview: John Henry's is looking for a motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented kitchen steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized dish pit, washing dishes, and supporting our kitchen during peak hours. This position also requires the care and maintenance of cast iron skillets, plates, bowls, and other dishes used in the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain an industrial dishwasher, ensuring all dishes are cleaned thoroughly and efficiently.
Care for cast iron skillets and other specialty items, maintaining their quality and longevity.
Keep the dish pit clean and organized at all times.
Ensure dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are stocked and readily available for kitchen staff.
Assist in maintaining a smooth and steady flow of dishwashing during busy hours.
Maintain a positive attitude and work well with kitchen staff and other team members.
Help with food prep and salad bar as needed.
Stay off your phone while on shift and remain focused on the tasks at hand.
Perform duties in a TIMELY MANNER.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, including heavy dishes and kitchenware.
Requirements:
Availability Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner shifts.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service hours.
Attention to detail and dedication to maintaining the quality of dishes.
